Who can join the club?

All BU students can join our club, regardless of experience! Unfortunately, BU faculty/staff and those outside the BU community are not able to join per BU club sports policy. For those who are unable to join our club, we recommend checking out the Massachusetts Table Tennis and Badminton Club in Waltham, MA, which is open to the general public.
Will rackets or shuttlecocks be provided?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we HIGHLY recommend that you bring your own rackets to minimize the risk of disease transmission. However, we do have a limited number of badminton rackets for members to borrow. High quality shuttlecocks will be provided by the club.
When/where will practice be held?

We have 2 practice sessions per week, both held at the FitRec 3-court gym, Court 1: • Friday 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM • Saturday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
How much are the membership dues? What do they cover?

For fall 2020, membership dues are $35 for all members (both competitive and recreational). Membership dues will be used to cover the shuttlecocks, rackets and other necessary equipment.
How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected BU Badminton?

Per BU club sports policy, BU Badminton will not be traveling or competing in any tournaments during fall 2020. During practice, players must wear a mask the entire time and sanitize their hands before and after games. E-Board members will be sanitizing shared rackets after each practice. More updates on how practices will be run in the fall is forthcoming.
