We're happy you're interested in joining BU Badminton Club! BU Badminton Club is split into 2 sections: a competitive side that competes in tournaments every semester and a recreational side that plays badminton for fun. In accordance with BU club sports policy, only full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Boston University may be recognized as members of a club sport.*

To begin joining either portion of the club, either:

Find our table at Splash at the beginning of the semester and sign up for our email list, OR
Email us at bubadmin@bu.edu and request to be added to our email list. If you are joining later in the semester, please email us.

Joining the competitive team:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BU Badminton will not be holding tryouts during the fall 2020 semester. However, prospective competitive members are encouraged to join the club, practice with us and our coach, and prepare for spring tryouts!

Joining the recreational team:

Any BU student is welcome to join the recreational side of the team! The first few weeks of practice during each semester are open to all interested players. Afterwards, those interested in becoming official recreational members and practicing with us for the rest of the semester will be required to pay dues to fund shuttlecocks, rackets, nets, and other supplies.

*If you are interested in playing badminton but are not a BU student, Massachusetts Table Tennis and Badminton Club located in nearby Waltham, MA is open to the general public.
